Howard Perch: Baseball Career


Prior to a successful career in hospital leadership, Howard Perch enjoyed success as a talented baseball star. Perch was a first-team, all-state baseball player as a member of the 1984 Flagler Palm Coast High School baseball team. This success led to a scholarship opportunity with the University of North Carolina baseball team, which, in turn, led to a spot on the semi-pro Daytona Beach Dodgers roster. As a Dodger, Perch captured a hitting title.

Howard Perch: Transitional Care Unit


In the role of administrator at Florida Hospital Oceanside, Howard Perch handled the development, implementation, and opening of a transitional care unit. This unit, which included 23 beds, was opened on the Florida Hospital Oceanside in 2015. Following the facility’s successful rollout, the 23-bed transitional care unit delivered skilled therapy and nursing care to patients across Flagler and Volusia Counties. Perch left the role of administrator in March of 2017.
